19th June 2015
Windsurfing: The Dip-Felixstowe
Wind Direction: nw
Wind Stength: 10/15
Surf / Sea State: flatish
Air Temperature: 15
Sea Temperature:
Weather: cloudy
Max Speed: 19.06 (knots - unless stated otherwise)
Distance Covered: 10.25 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise)

Up early this morning then Mag and I cleaned our van after our adventures in France - it's never looked so sparkly !!! With 15 mph nw forecast I was going to go to Levington but with a shinny van I decided against going to the dusty marina and went to The Dip. The dead offshore wind looked very light by now :( but I rigged big and went for it, I wobbled off the beach and headed over to the River Deben where the best wind was and spent an hour and a half searching for a gust to make 20 kts and failed just. It wasn't windy enough to go on a longboard cruise so just sailed in Bawdsey Bay and in the River entrance- not too bad a session, nw is a nice direction for Felixstowe if you are brave enough to sail it - just needed a little more wind!
